June 20, 2019. Colton was one of Taylor MacLeod’s research assistants that I met in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Colton was straight forward and, as were his colleagues, clearly concerned about the world.

“Yes.”
Who has been the most influential person in your life?
“ Uh, probably both my mom and my dad. Yup.”
How do you feel about the future?
“About my own future–pretty good for now. But, I don’t know, the world’s future, country’s future not so sure the way things have been going…kinda not so sure we’re heading in the right direction there, but yeah. Hopefully…yeah.”
